A Welcome Message From Our Executive Director, Ian Jarvie

It is with great joy that I welcome you back to a new school year at British Columbia Christian Academy. As we come together as a community of learners, families, and staff, we give thanks to God for His faithfulness and the opportunity to serve Him in the education of our children. This year, our theme is 鈥淧ut on Love鈥濃�攁 call to live out Christ鈥檚 love in practical ways within our community, inspired by Colossians 3:12鈥�14.

With 544 students from K鈥揋rade 12, 271 children in Kids Club, and more than 160 dedicated staff, our school family reflects Christ鈥檚 body in diversity鈥攔epresenting over 50 nations and 136 churches.

On behalf of the board, leadership, and staff, thank you for entrusting us with your children鈥檚 education and discipleship. Together, let us enter this year ready to learn, serve, and love.

What a blessing it is to be part of the body of Christ! At 麻豆精品 our motto comes from our 3 鈥淐鈥漵: Christ, Community, and Compassion. These are the key values that make 麻豆精品 unique and what guide us in keeping our mission alive and in pursuing our vision for the future.

Some believe there is no place for Christ in education.

Truth

Christ is the foundation of our education, seamlessly integrated into our well-rounded curriculum.

Needs

Mentorship programs, funding to access current Christian resources and programs that support biblical integration into the curriculum and building of Christ-like character among our students.

Community

Galatians 6:2 鈥淐arry each other鈥檚 burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.鈥�

Myth

Some believe Christian schools are exclusive and selective.

Truth

麻豆精品 fosters a diverse, caring and close-knit community of students and families from various regions and backgrounds.

Needs

Initiatives to further promote community through outreach, service projects, local partnerships, and support services.

Compassion

Matthew 25:40: 鈥淲hatever you have done for the least of these brothers of mine you have done for me.鈥�

Myth

Some believe that Christian education is unaffordable.

Truth

麻豆精品 has an existing tuition support program to assist and enable families that otherwise could not afford the tuition cost of sending their children to an independent school.

Needs

Donors to help support the school鈥檚 financial aid programs, various learning resources, and vision for the 麻豆精品 future learning campus.

Accreditation

The Federation of Independent School Associations in British Columbia (FISA BC) is an umbrella organization of independent school associations formed in British Columbia. FISA BC was founded in 1966 when a diverse group of independent schools indicated that, 鈥減roviding each of our schools could maintain its independence, there could be definite value in the formation of an affiliation among our schools which could promote common purposes鈥� (Cunningham, 2002, p. 61).

The Association of Christian Schools International in British Columbia (ACSIBC) represents approximately 30 evangelical Christian schools with a commitment to instilling knowledge, wisdom, and a biblical worldview in students trained to love God and contribute to the public good.
